11am: Motorists are still being advised to avoid the Whittlesey area if possible, as the A605 remains closed in one direction.
The road closure between Ponders Bridge and Park Farm will remain in place, allowing traffic to travel in the direction of Peterborough to Whittlesey only, for the time being.

Train lines also continue to remain closed at the moment. All services run by One railway, CrossCountry and Midlands Trains which go through Whittlesey or call in the town have been stopped.

A replacement bus service is operating in its place.

A spokeswoman for One Railway said: "No trains are running through the town. Replacement bus services are starting and terminating at March in their place.

"We will be guided by the fire service and Network Rail as to when it will be safe to resume our services."
