Driver in hospital after smash

BREAKING NEWS 8AM: A car driver is today in a hospital critical care unit after a collision.
Emergency services were called to Broadgate, Sutton St James, near Holbeach, at about 6.20pm yesterday.

A blue Saab 9000 CSE driven by a 77-year-old man, from Dersingham, Norfolk, had collided with a blue Mercedes E200 driven by a 54-year-old man from Gorfield.

The Mercedes driver and his 78-year-old male passenger, from Hunstanton, were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

The driver of the Mercedes remains in the critical care unit at the hospital.
