Driver dies in two-car crash

BREAKING NEWS 8.20AM: A CITY motorist has died following a two car crash near Stamford.
The collision took place yesterday, September 7, at 3.55pm on at A47 at Collyweston and involved a blue Peugeot 106 car that was travelling from the direction of Leicester which collided with a red Hyundai Tuscon vehicle that was travelling from Peterborough.

The driver of the Peugeot, thought to be a 33 year old man from the Peterborough area, died at the scene.

The occupants of the Hyundai, a 73-year-old woman, who was the driver, and a 73-year-old man who was the passenger, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They come from Leicester.

Officers from the Road Policing Unit are appealing for information and witnesses to this collision to contact them on 08453 700700 or call the Drivewatch hotline on 0800 174615.
