YOUNGSTERS, their parents and grandparents are invited to get online this week.
A Get Online Day has been organised by Pitman Training Centre in Peterborough to give people a first taste of the internet.

The event, which will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 9am to 8pm, in Trinity Street, will also help people who have already grasped the basics to learn how to shop online.

Centre manager of Pitman Training Ela Lisowska said: “Get Online Day will help us show the local community that using the internet is really easy and convenient.

“One in three adults in the country don’t use the internet and 27 per cent have never been online at all.

“Get Online Day aims to target families in the area who are currently missing out on all the internet’s benefits.”

Enrolments for the courses will be taken on the day. All visitors will have a chance to win a laptop, printer and a year’s broadband subscription.
