AN ET READER has been left baffled by a series of bright lights in the sky last night.
James Platt said his wife noticed about 12 bright lights in the sky at about 11pm last night (Thursday).

He thought at first that the stars were a bit brighter than normal, but when his eyes adjusted he saw thet although the lights were arranged like stars, they were a lot lower in the sky and a lot brighter. They looked like fiery orange and red beacons of light.

"They moved slowly, from the direction of Elton, and dissapeared to the east. I dont think that they were aircraft. As we saw no flashing lights, or heard no noise. They also seemed too randomly spaced to be aircraft," he said.

"The only explanations that I can think of is that they were some sort of flare, but I thought flares went up and down, without staying in the air for 5 or 6 mins. Or that they were hot air balloons, but I didnt think they flew at night, and occasionally, one of the lights seemed to speed up or change direction.

"I'm 99.9% sure that there is a resonable explanation. But I'd love to know if anybody else has seen such a thing in or around wansford tonight. "

If you saw the light or have an explanation, comment below.

I agree, how many of these mornic stories will the ET print. Either sack some of the journalists as you clearly have too many and not enough news or start printing real news.

Firstly - I am sorry Dan 'mornic' stories???????

Secondly - How comforting it is for an individual to believe that they are the centre of their universe.

Giving Dan Jackson a hard time for a typo's a bit rich, coming from someone who can't work out how to press a button once :)

Hahaha, I know exactly what they were, but keeping quiet on this one!
All I'm saying is that the guy that saw them wasn't seeing things, they were real...

Fair comment - and I would like to add what charming, balanced and open minded individuals you both must be. Have a lovely weekend!
