CITY rotary clubs have rallied behind a national fashion fund-raising campaign fronted by supermodel Naomi Campbell to help victims of the flooding in England.
Fashion for Relief, a catwalk show held at the end of London Fashion Week, raised money for the Rotary Flood Disaster Appeal.

The Rotary campaign was backed by a number of models and celebrities including Yasmin Le Bon, and Rio Ferdinand who modelled outfits.

June’s heavy rain brought terrible flooding in parts of the East Midlands and the East.

The Association of British Insurers estimated flood damage to almost £3bn.

President of the Rotary Club of Peterborough Phil Thompson said: “Rotary in action like this is what it’s all about – moving people to help worthy causes and to effectively focus aid where it is needed.”

President of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Alan Jagger said: “This flood appeal is important to relieve the hardship of the victims of the recent flooding.

“Rotary is able to react very quickly and effectively through its national, district and local structures.”
