And to watch the up-and-coming RnB artist's video for the song Is It You on Myspace click here for the link.I recall the time when Jason called over to his car and gave me an exclusive privilege of listening to his first CD prior to its release. we talked about marketing and publicity. i knew then that he was determind to make it in the music business. i am proud of him and his achievements. he was and will remain an inspiration to all young musicians especially those from the Black and minority Ethnic Community of peterborough. he included a lot of local youth in his music and video productions. Jason is not gone his legacy will live on.
Gerry Brown Drummer (the Gangsters Ska band)I got to know Jason this year through friend who was trying to drum up some publicity for him and his promising recording career. A lot of people aspire to be a famous recording artist, but listening to 'Benny' reel off his plans and successes made me realise this was a guy who was serious, passionate and talented enough to break into the 'big time'. I arranged an interview with him for ESP Magazine and covered his most recent achievements in my own column. Jason was confident that 2008 was going to be his year and I believed him - he was never arrogant and always polite. He emailed me only a few days ago, I wish now I got around to responding to him in time. 'Benny' has made heaven a livelier place.
Pep Cipriano Im Tre, a local MC and close friend of Jason Bennett, I was shocked to hear about his death.
Ironicly we were meant to do a tribute song to lost friends within the next couple of weeks.
