A CITY charity has received a cash grant as part of a community champions programme.
The Association of Spina Bifida and Hydrocefaulaus (ASBAH) in Peterborough was given £295 from BT to support its voluntary community work.

The charity was just one of 21 charities or community groups to share £6,545 in recognition of BT employees who commit their time, energy and talent for the benefit of society and their communities.

BT’s head of charity programmes Beth Courtier said: “At BT we believe it is important to recognise the amazing work of the many volunteers within the company who have such a positive impact on their local communities. It is great to see the personal rewards each employee gets out of giving something back and in turn BT sees the benefits of their community work.”

All BT employees who have participated in voluntary work for more than twelve months can apply to become a BT Community Champion.
