12.15pm: Emergency services were called and police began an investigation into the man's sudden death.

A post mortem was due to be carried out by Home Office pathologist Dr Nat Cary this morning.

A police spokeswoman said that there were no suspicious circumstances about the man's death.

This morning there was no police tape sealing off the flat but an unmarked car was parked outside and a police officer was stationed outside the property.

Neighbours interviewed by The Evening Telegraph did not want to make any comment about the situation.

A friend of the man, who has known him since they were 13, said: "Everybody knew him, he was very popular and always out.

"The last time I saw him was on Monday, when he was in the car with his brother. He seemed fine."
