BREAKING NEWS 7.30am: Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a motorcyclist was injured.
The accident happened about 07.40 yesterday morning (Monday) on the A15 at Rippingale near Bourne.

A 44-year-old local man was taken to Peterborough District Hospital with a non life-threatening but serious leg injury after his motor cycle, a silver Honda 1000cc, was in collision with a black Ford Mondeo driven by a 47-year-old local man, who was not injured.

Anyone who was in the area and saw either vehicle before the collision or saw the collision itself is asked to contact the witness hotline. It is known that a woman who stopped to help at the scene departed before emergency services arrived. Police would also like her to make contact.

The witness hotline is 01522 558855.

That A15 is fast road out that way beyond Bourne with lots of innocent looking but notorious junctions. I wish the motorcyclist a quick and full recovery.
