Pre match. We set off at 9.30am and arrived at 12.45pm. I went down by car with my mates Dave Griggs, Bev Jarvis and Dave Witham. We discussed the last match and today's game. We went into the Chester supporters club and they made us very welcome. We went into the ground about 2.45pm.
First impressions: Very compact little ground - better than some we have to go to.
Half time report: Although we had most of the possession in the first half we did not create many chances. It seemed to me we were a bit reluctant to shoot. Then we gave a sloppy goal away deep into injury time.
Atmosphere: The Posh fans were in their usual good voice getting behind the team from the word go.
Full time report: As in the first half we took the game to Chester and were denied a clear-cut penalty before Aaron McLean equalised. Craig Mackail-Smith then missed a sitter before we were awarded a penalty after Hughes was brought down in the box. Mackail-Smith took the penalty and slammed it past the goalkeeper.
I think it was a fair result in view of the amount of possession we had over the 90 minutes.
