The first match I went to was versus Rotherham Reserves and it finished 1-1 with Warns scoring the goal. I'm a season ticket holder along with my daughter Kerry, son Gary and granddaughters Jess, Chloe and Ellie and we sit in the North Stand. I'm o

Pre-match: I live on London Road and usually leave home with the rest of the family about an hour before kick-off. My daughter and granddaughters always tell me off for gossiping to people and complain the walk down to the ground takes about 15 minutes longer than it really needs to!
Half-time report: Posh started brightly but missed numerous chances to score. Mackail-Smith should have done better when he was one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Hartlepool did not create much but seemed an organised side. We were unlucky to have a couple of penalty appeals turned down. Hopefully these missed opportunities haven't cost us.
Full-time report: It was a disappointing second half and we were punished by sloppy defending – the game should have been won in the first half.
Both of Hartlepool's goals could and should have been avoided and they had very few chances but took the ones they got.
It looked like we might have sneaked a point at the end and we would have deserved it as well. Following the substitutions we looked more attacking and Whelpdale laid on the goal and nearly scored himself with a good header.
The ref was very pedantic and spoiled the game by constantly blowing his whistle.
Posh man-of-the-match: Russell Martin was decent and proved his versatility playing in defence and midfield. He was comfortable on the ball and the players seem to have confidence in him.
Post Match: Our central defenders are not good enough and we need someone who is not only better than what we've got but experienced as well.
I'm not panicking yet but we have to get a new defender if we're going to do any good in this league.
I think we missed Whelpdale's presence at the beginning because of his heading ability.
When we have goal kicks he's very good at bringing the ball down and without him the ball is just kicked straight back at us.
Fergie needs to be more proactive than reactive. If we're not doing as well as we can he needs to make a change before conceding a goal and then being forced to do something.
