CURRENT FORM: I have been supporting Posh since 1966 and was solely responsible for introducing your current Chief Sports Writer to the delights of supporting Posh!
My first game was a 1-0 home defeat against Torquay at the start of the 66/67 season.

I am a season ticket holder at the London Road End.

PRE-MATCH: I walked to the match today with my friend Lee and after a quick pint in the Drapers we arrived at the ground one and a half hours before kick-off because we were anticipating London Road End to be full. After queueing in the Posh shop for 20 minutes to buy an away top we then decided to enter the ground at 2.15pm. I usually walk in at 2.55pm.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: There was a good atmosphere building up for the game with the usual chanting against the opposition which included 'You've got no history, and 'Come on AFC Wimbledon'. By kick-off London Road was bursting at the seams.

HALF-TIME REPORT: Posh started the better of the two sides with Charlie Lee hitting a ferocious shot against the crossbar.

As the game settled down the Dons came more into it and you could see what a good side they were at this level.

FULL-TIME REPORT: Posh got caught out early in the second half with a bad defensive lapse and for the next 30 minutes were left chasing shadows as the Dons scored a second and could quite easily have had a couple more.

To Posh's credit they got back into the game with another Aaron Mclean goal and proceeded to press forward for the last 15 minutes.

A fantastic crowd of over 10,000 (1,200 from Milton Keynes) should not be too disheartened as I am sure if we signed an experienced centre-half that would be good enough to see us promoted this season.

Some of the attacking football I have seen at home this season has been as good if not better than anything I have witnessed in the last 40 years and it's nice to see a Posh team playing passing football at this level.

Altogether a good day spoiled only by the result.

Overall match rating: 7
