Westgate: Tram adverts were on the right lines

Local shops soon awakened to the potential of advertising on the trams.
The photo shows Westgate before World War One, Barretts and Rogers are proudly displayed on vehicles bound for Newark and Walton.

Their advertising was obviously on the right lines.
