A COUPLE of weeks ago we printed this photograph and said it was a civic gathering in June 1929 to mark the extension to Peterborough power station.
Two of our readers, however, have rung in to correct this.

It turns out this was not Peterborough power station, but a Little Barford Power station, near St Neots, which has long since been replaced by another one.

It may have made it into our archives as it is believed that one of the people in the photograph is the mayor of Peterborough.

Thank you to our two readers for their help.
