THE sister of a Thorney man who emigrated to Australia more than 40 years ago is trying to trace his former school friends for a reunion.
Keith Lambert left the country for a new life in Australia as an intrepid 16-year-old but is returning to Thorney where he grew up for a month in May.

To make it a homecoming to remember, his sister Iris Holmes, of Kennet Gardens, Paston, Peterborough, is keen to find his friends from the Duke of Bedford School in Thorney so they can get together and chat about old times. The last time he was in the country was around 25 years ago.

Mrs Holmes said: "If any of them want to see him, we may have a get-together.

"Thorney is a close-knit community so people will remember him."

If you knew Mr Lambert, contact The ET on 01733 588732 and we will pass on your details to Mrs Holmes.
