Hospital memories are sought for NHS anniversary
A VISIT to the hospital may be something you would rather forget, but health bosses hope former patients and staff have memories they will want to share as part of a history project.

40 YEARS AGO - 1968: FOOTBALL: Eye United became the first local side to lift the Northants Lower Junior Cup since the Second World War. John Willis scored a hat-trick in their 6-2 final triumph over Northampton Park. John Osker, Geoff Matthews and Roy Rome were the other scorers.

40 YEARS AGO - 1968 FOOTBALL: Demoted Posh made sure Grimsby would be joining them in Division Four next season after holding the Mariners to a 1-1 draw at Blundell Park. Peter Thompson hit the Posh goal and Tony Millington shone in goal.
