THE 13th Thorney Live Music Festival will bring a number of fantastic bands to the grounds of Bedford Hall on Sunday, August 24.
Over the last 12 years, the event has raised more than £30,000 for charity, and this generous trend looks set to continue this year.

Young female rock band Came By Plane will be playing the festival – the same day as they feature on Radio One in session on the Nick Grimshaw show.

Other bands performing include Wingspan, Haze, The Platforms, Hair of the Dog, Sirius and The Above.

It's not just a festival for music lovers, as a whole host of entertainment has been laid on for families.

The person with the most influence over the festival is Andy Stuffins, who had the original idea back in 1994 and has continued, with the support of his family to make the event the leading music festival in the area.

Andy said: "Over the last 12 years we have seen more than 70 bands and artists on stage, each bringing their own unique blend of musical entertainment.

"We have raised more than £30,000 for local and national charities ranging from the local playgroup through to the national Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund."

The event will also feature a licensed bar, hot food and drink and children's inflatables.

The festival kicks off at 11.30am and continues through to dusk.

Admission costs £5 with free entry for under-16s. This year's beneficiaries are Macmillan Cancer Relief, The Thorney Wednesday Club and The Rudolf Fund.
