For two hours, the spirit of Bob Marley took over The Brewery Tap as the headline act for this year's Randall Rootz festival brought the venue to life.
About 400 people were inthe central Peterborough pub, all eager to start the weekend with a dose of reggae classics.
Legend – an eight-strong group who style themselves as one of the ultimate tributes to the music of Bob Marley – were in sparkling form.
Even the most casual of Marley fans would have been hard pushed not to recognise at least half the songs, as Legend focused on the hits.
Three Little Birds, Buffalo Soldier, Redemption Song, Jamming – you name it, they played it.
The Randall Rootz three dayer was in memory of Mark Randall, a talented Peterborough musician who lost his life to cancer last year, aged just 34.
All proceeds from the event were going to Peterborough's Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, where Mark was cared for in his final days.
On Saturday, the outdoor patio area of The Brewery Tap was packed with people who enjoyed performances from the Dead Rab- bits, Sam Beer and Straw Bear.
As the sun set, many made their way inside for two more raucous sets from the Psych-O-Bombs and The Houndogs.
Then, on Sunday, it was a more leisurely affair with an acoustic showcase featuring Cambridge's Ezio.
Credit must go to Randall committee organisers, especially Andrew Whit- taker and Pat Murphy, who worked extremely hard to make the festival such a success.
Roll on Randall Rootz Mk 3.
