Enter Shikari have announced a city date at the Cresset Theatre – their first Peterborough gig since a triumphant, sell-out performance in January last year.
The St Albans four-piece are gearing up for a tour in support of a second album, and have announced a date at The Cresset theatre, in Bretton, Peterborough, on Friday, October 10.

Bringing the post-hardcore outfit to the city is something of a coup for

The Cresset, as promoter Jon Morgan, of Just What You Want Concerts, explained.

"This band are one of the hottest properties on the live circuit right now," he said.

"Anticipation is high for their second album, and we think there's going to be an extremely high demand for tickets – we're very pleased we can bring a show like this to Peterborough."

Formed in their native Hertfordshire, Enter Shikari resisted pressure to sign to a major label early on in their career, opting instead to create their own label.

A nationwide fan base, nursed by the band's explosive live act, were not disappointed with the results, and sent debut album Take To The Skies to number four in the charts.

It is as a live act that Enter Shikari excel, however, and the band have everything to prove.

Tickets for the gig go on sale next Friday, costing £16.50, on 0845 3510389, or at www.justwhatyouwantconcerts.co.uk.
