Kissmet from Peterborough have enjoyed huge festival success this year, performing at festivals during 2008.
Billed as the world's only Bhangra rock fusion act, Kissmet have performed at Glastonbury, Global Fusion and Rock for People, in Prague.
Although the visit to Glastonbury may well have been the highlight, it was not the group's first performance at the legendary festival.
It was their fourth time at Glastonbury, playing on a more high profile stage each year. Such was their popularity, that 2009 may well see them feature on one of the larger stages in front of 30,000 people.
The six-piece band have gone from performing at pubs in the Peterborough area to playing their music across the world and sharing stages with the likes of Ms Dynamite and Fat Boy Slim.
With experience of more than 200 festival performances, including in Mexico and throughout Europe, the band are going from strength to strength, and look to have an extremely bright future.
Manager and performer Ron Singh said: "Glastonbury was fantastic this year. It was our fourth time performing there, and this was the first it didn't rain, so it was great to be able to move about and see the whole site.
"Normally, you can't even leave your field because it's just too muddy to travel. When we first played there, we were on the smallest stage in the furthest out tent, but every year we just keep getting bigger and bigger.
"After that first gig, at the Tadpole Stage, we then went up to the Croissant Neuf Stage, then the Lost Vagueness Stage and this year we were on the Avalon Stage, which is the biggest outside the top four.
"We had an awesome gig, with loads of positive feedback from the general public and the organisers.
"We're looking to play the Jazz World Stage next year, which will mean a minimum of 30,000 people and more TV cameras than we've ever seen before. Everything is looking promising for Glastonbury 2009, so watch out for us on the telly.
"We miss performing in Peterborough, and we never forget the great gigs we had. There's so much we have done, but yet so much more we can and, hopefully, will do. It's a big world out there, and we want to see it all."
Band member Buzz Singh said: "We've got a fantastic band together, and everyone fits in so well. We all know what we're doing, and have become a family.
"There's a lot of friendship, positivity and laughs on the road, and we know that these things are important when we're doing plenty of miles."
