ONE of the original supergroups will be in the city tonight, when Bad Company brings its latest incarnation to The Park – and Whittlesey band PointSevenPistol have been chosen as the support act for the night.
The original members have gone their separate ways over the years, but the songs remain the same, and hard rock outfit PointSevenPistol said they were delighted to have been selected as support for the legendary group.

"I think I'll have to stop Al, our bassist, from running on stage to sing with them," explained lead singer Jimmy Doherty.

"Seriously though, this just proves things are getter better all the time for Peterborough, and we're so grateful for this opportunity to play alongside heroes of ours.

"I'd love to see this gig become a huge success and I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be, The Park has a new sound system and the busier it gets in there the better the vibe."

Originally formed in 1973, Bad Company originally comprised ex-King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell, former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and Free singer "the voice" Paul Rodgers.

Tickets cost £18 and are available at www.justwhatyouwantconcerts.co.uk or by ringing 0845 3510389.

Additional support comes from Get Vegas.
