Festive supper venue moved
WITH the Longthorpe Village Hall closed and awaiting rebuilding, John and Rosie Sandall have moved their annual festive supper to All Saints Church Hall, in Park Road.
WITH the Longthorpe Village Hall closed and awaiting rebuilding, John and Rosie Sandall have moved their annual festive supper to All Saints Church Hall, in Park Road.There is top class entertainment, raffle, tombola carols and the usual friendly company.
With tickets at 10 each, supper is included and the hope is that there will be a full house on the evening of Saturday, December 15 at 7.30pm.
The host couple are hoping that the public will continue to support the event in its temporary home.
Proceeds will go to the Chernobyl appeal fund.

Library holding baby sign event
Bretton Library is holding a baby signing event tomorrow from 2pm until 2.30pm.
Baby sign language helps babies to communicate their thoughts, wants and needs while developing language skills needed for speaking.
Baby sign also gives and insight into your baby’s world and stimulates intellectual and emotional development and, according to practitioners, it encourages parent and child interaction and helps to build baby’s self esteem and confidence.
The session welcomes families with children of all ages to join in the singing and hand clapping fun.

Out of school club for pupils
THE Watergall out of school club in Bretton is gearing up for the school holidays and reminds parents that places can be secured now.
Open from 7.45am to 6pm it provides activities including water play, arts, sports, construction and much more including dance periods.
Visitors are welcome and drinks and snacks will be provided for participating youngsters, though they need to bring a packed lunch. Charges are at 15 per day.

bus attack?
WITNESSES are being sought after someone threw an object at a double decker bus in Bretton.
The incident happened at 7.05pm on Sunday, November 25 in Heltwate.
The missile smashed the front nearside upper screen window. A total of six passengers were on board at the time but nobody was injured.
