Youngsters proved that dreams really do come true this week in a play that was enjoyed parents and teachers alike.Year 6 pupils from Peakirk cum Glinton Primary School, in Glinton, near Peterborough, performed their version of the play Cinderella Rockafella this week to an admiring audience.

The pupils delivered three performances of the show, which has been described as a "pantomime with a modern twist", this modern twist being that instead of Prince Charming, Cinderella finds herself falling for handsome rock star Rockafella.

Headmaster of the school John Green feels that the show has been a great success. He said: "I was smiling all the way through, apart from the sad parts, which brought a tear to my eye. The duet between Cinderella and Rockerfella was very good, and all of the pupils should be pleased with themselves."
