RELAX and keep fit at the same time at a Yoga Journey Day in PeterboroughThe event will showcase the Krishnamacharya tradition of yoga and will be held at Longthorpe Village Hall on Saturday, July 4, between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
Organiser Angie Cork said the day is aimed at anyone new to yoga, or interested in taking it up, as well as to those more experienced who attend classes, teach or practise at home.
She added: “The event is being hosted by six teachers from the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation (KHYF).
“The focus will not just be on the physical aspects of yoga but on other facets of the tradition, including breathing techniques, focussing the mind and visualisation.”
The day will begin with posture work and then will gradually incorporate these other elements.
The cost of attending the event is 30. hot drinks are provided, but those taking part are asked to take their own lunch.

Fun fete for school funds
THORPE Primary School, in Netherton, is holding its summer fete on Friday, July 3.
The event, from 3.15pm onwards, is part of the regular fund-raising activities the school carries out throughout the year.
This year, all the money raised will be going to replace the lighting system in the school hall, which dates back to the 1960s.
Retirement Fellowship meet
THE NHS Retirement Fellowship’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, from 2pm, at St Andrew’s Church Hall, in Ledbury Road, Netherton.
Guest speaker Elizabeth St Hill Davis will be giving a talk about efforts to rescue Wansford’s Victorian railway station, and how campaigners have been raising money.
Book your pitch for car boot sale
CAR boot enthusiasts should make sure they book early for Longthorpe Primary School’s summer fete.
The boot will start at 11am on Saturday, July 4 and pitches cost 5.
