Drivers group to meet up at pub
PETERBOROUGH and District Advanced Motorists is holding its usual monthly meeting at a pub in woodston.
PETERBOROUGH and District Advanced Motorists is holding its usual monthly meeting at a pub in woodston.The Cherry Tree, in Oundle Road, will host the event on Thursday, July 2, starting at 8pm.
The speaker for the evening will be from the emergency medical charity Magpas.
All drivers and motorcyclists are invited to head along to the meeting, with no obligation to join the group.
Get involved in school's fete
STANGROUND College will hold a summer fete this year, the first in a few years.
Businesses are invited to set up stalls, community groups are asked to hold exhibitions, and pupils are encouraged to raise cash for their year group.
City businesses are also being asked to donate raffle prizes.
There will be a car boot sale, and pitches can be booked in advance for 5, or 6 on the day.
The fete will take place between noon and 4pm, on Saturday, June 27.

Children can sing at group
A SINGING group for children has been set up in the district.
The group, which is free of charge, has been set up for children aged up to five.
It is held every Friday, during term times, from 10am to 11.30am, at Stanground Children's Centre, in Chapel Street, Stanground.
Anyone wishing to attend is invited to go along to the session.
Dig in for tug of war contest
ORGANISERS of a fun day are looking for strong-armed competitors to take part in a tug of war game.
Teams of eight to 10 are needed to compete in the light-hearted contest at the Woodston summer fun day on the recreation ground in Oundle Road, on Saturday, July 11.
Entry costs 10 a team.
Funds raised will go towards organising a Christmas party for children in the area.

School to host soccer sixes
STANGROUND College will hold a football tournament next month.
The Stanground Soccer Sixes takes place on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, at the school, in Peterborough Road.
There will also be a variety of stalls throughout the day.
