CAMPAIGNERS fighting plans for a huge warehouse development near Park Farm, Stanground, are to visit another site built by the company behind the scheme.Logistics giant Gazeley wants to set up the distribution park next to the Felixstowe to Nuneaton railway line and build new sidings to allow goods to be brought in by train from the East Anglian ports. They could then be moved on by road.
Residents worried by the possible impact of noise, extra traffic and light pollution from the proposed Magna Park will see an existing Gazeley development in action to gauge for themselves the likely effects on Stanground.
Gazeley's planning director Don Morgan said: "I have agreed with the local residents' group in Stanground to host a visit to a working Magna Park site and to meet with them and answer their questions.
"The visit will be in the autumn, when I hope to be in a better position to provide more answers to questions."
