CITY youngsters proved they have the x factor at an all-singing and all-dancing talent show on Saturday night.
Peterborough Youth’s Got Talent saw 10 acts who had progressed past competitive auditions take to the stage at The Voyager School on Mountsteven Avenue, Walton.
Walking away with the top prize was 12 year old singer-songwriter Sam Coward - who could have Britain’s Got Talent bosses trying to get in touch after he put on a breathtaking solo performance.
He walked away with gift vouchers worth £245 after wowing a panel of four judges with a song he composed himself.
Sam said: “I will put the vouchers towards buying a new guitar.”

The two runners-up from the talented field were street dancer Benhamin Syder (18) and singer Claudia Sleight (12).
Claudia said: “I have always dreamed of performing to an open audience and this was my chance to shine.”
Peterborough Youth’s Got Talent was the brainchild of Young Lives - a charity from Cambridge who have put on similar events in other cities and were invited to put one on in Peterborough by the city council.
There have been other contests with the same name, but this was the first Young Lives version.
The show kicked off with a performance by The Voyager School’s house band The Emeralds, before the contestants took to the stage.
The finalists were chosen from auditions in Town Hall, Serpentine Green shopping centre and The Still, in Queensgate.
Kevin Burke, fund-raising manager for Young Lives, said: “The level of performance was extremely high, but we weren’t surprised because we knew how talented they were from the auditions.
“What we were surprised with was the audience participation. There were 200 people in the hall and the suspense, excitement and level of noise was remarkable.”
