Live music: Sleazy gothic punk
A BAND that has no qualms about pushing the boundaries of good taste will be at The Park on Friday night.
A BAND that has no qualms about pushing the boundaries of good taste will be at The Park on Friday night.Spit Like This was formed in 2002 by Lord Zion and Vikki Spit, who discovered that their notions of what constitutes the perfect band were identical.
They managed to get enough money together to fund debut EP The Pop Shot, and created an unashamedly offensive line in T-shirts.
With glowing reviews behind them and their profile raised under the guide of Smell Your Mum, the band pushed on, and received high acclaim for second CD Anarchy For Two.
The duo then set about recruiting a full band, and within two months were performing live for the first time, and picking up high profile support slots along the way.
Their debauched, outrageous act has generated excited chatter among gig-goers, and Spit Like This were voted the 8th top unsigned band in the country by Kerrang! readers.
Find out what all the fuss is about at The Park on Friday, October 5, where Stringfinger and Thousand Fires support.
Doors open at 8.30pm, and entry costs 4.
