Choir strikes love notes

A LEADING store in Peterborough is to play host to a lunchtime choir on Valentine’s Day.

The Peterborough Chamber Choir will be singing a number of all-time favorite love songs to get customers in the mood for the day.

The musicians will be playing at Clintons, in Serpentine Green, and seeking to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) at the same time.

The event will take place between noon and 1.30pm and the choir hopes to inspire thoughts of love as customers browse for their Valentine’s gifts and cards while being serenaded by classic love songs.

Store manager Anna Smart said: “The staff will all be swapping our current uniform for red to show our support for the BHF which is close to all of our hearts.”

Andy Grant, Red for Heart project manager, said: “We are delighted that Clintons staff will be hosting a choir in aid of our Red for Heart fundraising campaign.”
