A RENOWNED choral group will perform a celebration of music from the 16th century at Peterborough Cathedral next month.

The Sixteen ensemble, who have won a classical Gramophone Award, will be performing a programme entitled ‘Ceremony and Devotion: Music for the Tudors’.

The evening of music on September 4 will include works by Thomas Tallis, William Byrd and John

The entertainment will begin at 7pm, when the group’s director Harry Christopher will give a talk, before the concert starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost between £8 and £20 and can be bought from the Destination Centre on Bridge Street, Peterborough, or by calling 01733 452336.
