FILM crews from one of the country’s favourite dramas have visited Peterborough to film a ‘spectacular stunt’ for a forthcoming episode.
The crews from BBC One’s long-running hospital drama, Casualty, were at Nene Valley Railway near Yarwell Train Station to film the sequence.
The storyline is being kept a closely guarded secret, but series producer Oliver Kent, said: “It was a shoot involving a couple of teenagers and a train – and it being Casualty it is safe to say that it doesn’t go well.
“This is a big spectacular storyline we have been building up to.
“Nene Valley is the best spot for this, as there are not many locations where you can film so close to the tracks. We filmed here a few years ago, so we know it very well.”
The three-day shoot is scheduled to finish today, and the episode is set to be broadcast at the end of June.
