THREE young bands will be performing at the Met Lounge in Peterborough on Sunday night.Sam Little says he writes ridiculously cheesy pop songs people secretly listen to on repeat while telling everyone else they listen to something cooler.

He is from the South Coast of England and describes himself as a “hopeless romantic”.

His album Eat, Sleep, Attack is out now.

Second Drove are a five-piece indie/rock band from Peterborough. They met while playing rugby for Peterborough Rugby Club, hence the name based on the location of the club’s ground.

The lead singer is Cydney, on lead guitar is Josh Farrow, on rhythm guitar is Alex Lenton, on bass is Sam Beagley and the drummer is Chris Ogden.

And finally another Peterborough band called Minute or Two will be headlining the gig. The band, who last performed at the Peterborough Festival in Central Park, will play mainly covers by artists such as The Subways, Arctic Monkeys, Unit 6, Fall Out Boy, Blackout and Alexisonfire.

They describe their music genre as pop/rock and consist of Denon Starkey (drums/backing vocals), Jason Moakes (lead vocals), Laurence Scott (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Peter Wright (bass guitar and backing vocals.)

Denon Starkey told The Guide: “This is our first gig at the Met Lounge and we are looking forward to it. Lots of people will be coming to watch us as we have built up a good local fan base from our previous gigs at The Broadway and Peterborough Festival.”

Tickets cost 6 and can be pre-ordered on 07940 111256, or are 7 on the door.
