Music review: Another dark double-up

Destructors666/Danger's Close – Scheikunde split CD

Destructors666/Danger's Close – Scheikunde split CDOLD school punks Danger's Close crawl out of Ipswich to back to city scuzzers Destructors666 on Rowdy Farrgo's latest release.

The female-fronted band are OK – not great, but OK with catchy and melodic tunes raising them above the average punk band.

Their second song, Just A Man, is their best – angy, passionate and laced with lots of swearing – top stuff!

Destructors666 continue in the same vein as their previous releases.

This time their re-recording of an old Destructors song focuses on Nerve Gas – a bootleg-only release originally, I like it a lot. It has a really dark feel about it – and dark music is good.

Saturday Night (Let's Fight) could be about Peterborough city centre, or any UK city centre for that matter, but it's a great rock 'n' roll song nevertheless.

Alan from the Destructors666 is appealing for more bands for the next volume of This Is Peterborough compilation CD. You can get in touch with him at the details below.
