PETERBOROUGH band Punky Rebel Media will be playing at The Met Lounge tonight (Friday).

PETERBOROUGH band Punky Rebel Media will be playing at The Met Lounge tonight (Friday).Their music is described as "a mixture of the kitchen sink drama of Pulp and the energy, excitement and experimentation of The Clash".

Their debut track The Cost of Loving featured on The Ted Rogers EP, a split release with The Ruined and Destructors666.

The band members are Punky Si (vocals), Ian Gillis (guitar), Luke Allport (bass) and Adam Cloke (drums).

Influences include Pulp, PiL, Saint Etienne, The Clash, Bernard Butler, The Glitterband, Buzzcocks, Suede, Big Audio Dynamite, Shampoo, Blur, The Cure, XTC, Squeeze, Izzy Stradlin, Sex Pistols, Chemical Brothers, The Shamen and KLF.

Tickets for the gig cost 4, and the doors open at 8.30pm.
