PETERBOROUGH'S sports stars of the future were given the chance to pick up some new skills at an event at Stanground College.More than 180 children from primary schools across the city were at Stanground College this week for the multi-skills sports session.
The youngsters were given the chance to take part in a wide variety of games and activities at the event to help improve their balance, agility, speed and co-ordination.
Today, primary PE manager at Stanground College James Aldous said: "The main purpose of the games was to have fun.
"We want the children to take part in a variety of sports, not just football, for example.
"It is the first time that we have held a multi-skills event at Stanground College, but it was a real success.
"We have had some really good feedback from the children and teachers, so we will definitely be holding another one next year."
