Outgrown items to go on sale for children’s ward

THE children’s ward at Peterborough City Hospital will benefit from a new and nearly-new sale taking place this weekend.

Proceeds from the event at the Austin Hall in the Yaxley Amenity Centre, in Main Street, will go towards the Amazon Children’s Ward.

The sale will take place on Saturday between 1pm and 3.30pm.

Organiser Tracy Whitwell said: “It will be the perfect place to buy and sell your new and nearly-new clothing, toys, books, equipment and gifts for babies and toddlers.

“You will be able to pick up some fantastic bargains as well as help the environment by promoting recycling at the same time.”

Tables are also available to local businesses and parents to sell children’s products and gifts.

Tracy added: “If you have lots of quality baby and toddler goods that have been outgrown then why not come along and join us and turn them into cash.”

Tables cost £7 each and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are interested in running a stall at this event, get in touch with Tracy by calling 07769 717982 or by emailing twhitwell@sky.com.

Amazon Ward provides a comprehensive paediatric medical and surgical emergency service for all children up to the age of 16 who are referred via A&E, their GP or the Walk-in Centre.
