More mums wanted for lunch club

MUMS at the Lunch Bunch Club will take some weaning off their weekly meeting.

MUMS at the Lunch Bunch Club will take some weaning off their weekly meeting. There are now more than eight regular mums and their under ones attending the group, based at the Westwood Children’s Centre at Highlees School.

Project assistant Tor Bowker said the free lunch club was going from strength to strength and she hoped to see more mums in the area join in.

She said: “It’s really great as all the children are at different stages of weaning, so mums can swap tips with each other and socialise.

“We make something that the adults can eat, then mush it up for the babies, which is great fun.

“We would love more mums to come along and join in with us.”

The club is every Wednesday from noon until 1pm and is free.
