Get an insight into wildlife at Sacrewell Farm this half term
EXPLORE the wonderful world of wildlife at Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre this half- term holiday.
Staff at the centre, near Peterborough, want to make sure children have the chance to see and discover just what lives in our ponds, rivers and countryside.
There will be plenty of fun-filled activities for the whole family to enjoy from tomorrow until Sunday, February 19.
General manager Mike Rooney said: “As part of our role as a local charity, we want to raise awareness of the importance of our countryside and the natural world.
“Farming is vitally important for food production, but it can also benefit wildlife, and we like to think we can demonstrate that here at Sacrewell.
“Through sympathetic farming, we can protect our wildlife habitats.”
The farm will have a wildlife trail to discover fun facts. Visitors can find out more about the bats in the watermill, swans on the Mill Pond, red kites in the sky and the secret lives of badgers in their setts.
Sacrewell Farm is situated in Thornhaugh just of the A1.
It is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm. For further details call 01780 782254, or visit www.sacrewell.org.uk
