Nene Valley Railway: Thomas will train the children how to party

EVERYONE is invited to celebrate the birthday of the children's favourite engine, Thomas, at Nene Valley Railway this weekend (27/28 June).

EVERYONE is invited to celebrate the birthday of the children's favourite engine, Thomas, at Nene Valley Railway this weekend (27/28 June). All guests will board Thomas' special party train at Wansford Station where Thomas will haul his own train, down through the haunted tunnel, to his new station at Yarwell.

On arrival there they will leave the train and have fun with goody bags, food and an entertainer in Thomas' own marquee.

There will be a chance to meet the driver and fireman, and children can have their photograph taken with Thomas.

At the end of the party all the children will gather round and sing a very happy birthday to Thomas before getting back on the train to Wansford.

Thomas also loves getting birthday cards, so if you have a few spare minutes today why not make one and bring along for him to see?

There are three departues, both tomorrow and Sunday, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Tickets cost 12 per person, which also includes a trip on the main train pulled by one of Thomas' friends from Wansford to Peterborough and back.

For further details, call the Nene Valley Railway on 01780 784444, or visit www.nvr.org.uk.
