LEEDS post-rocking outfit The Dharma have built a solid reputation for delivering impressively energetic live performances. They will play at the Peterborough Met Lounge tonight.

Starting up in 2007, Paul Houlihan, JB Butler and Jon Thornton, began making a name for themselves around Yorkshire.

Throwing everything at putting on a memorable show, The Dharma have built a solid reputation.

Their sound can only be described as powerful, while retaining the key components to satisfy everyone’s dancing needs.

Synth player Rob Stones joined the band last December.

Following on the back of supporting the likes of Cage The Elephant and The Maccabees, they are wasting no time dropping their explosive new EP I Dance Like This, which is out this month.

This summer will end with an explosive Leeds gig in October, where more than 1,000 fans will get the chance to welcome the band back home.

Supporting The Dharma are Peterborough’s Icons Of The Brave. They played their first gig in January, and have summer shows lined up in London, Nottingham and Leicester. Their debut EP will be out in early July.

Tickets cost 7 at the door from 8pm. Call 01733 571616 to book.

Shows coming up at The Met Lounge include Baddies, Trip, Gay Blades and Disasteradio.
