There have been many letters sent to you regarding the North Bank Road and the speed at which cars travel in excess of the limit, overtaking and pulling back in at the last moment.
But can anyone tell me when they last saw a police vehicle patrolling or carrying out a speed check on the road during the rush hour period? The road is heavily congested, but the actions of a few irresponsible drivers make it dangerous to travel along. I speak from experience after a car drove into the back of my car this year. I do not believe the police treat this road as a priority. With the Stanground road at gridlock in the morning, people do not have much choice in the route they take.
