Sadly, there is no reason to cheer Peterborough being number one in a new league table, because once again people who try and evade paying their TV licences are giving the city a bad name.
It really is appalling that the dodgers think rules don't apply to them.
Everbody else has to pay to watch television, but they duck and dive and try to get away with it.
It's disappointing that Peterborough is still rated as being worse than other cities in the region such as Norwich and Cambridge, despite TV Licensing blitzing the city with detection teams.
These dodgers are probably the very same people who don't tax their cars, and drive without insurance.
Rules apparently don't apply to them. But why should they get away with it?
Whether you agree with paying a TV licence fee to finance our national public service broad- caster, the BBC, or not is neither here nor there quite simply it's the law and it should be beholden on everyone to stump up.
Let's hope when they get caught that the fines are high enough to make sure they get a licence in future, just like the rest of us.
