CAPTAIN marvel Laura Priddy was the star turn as holders Netherton booked their place in the Fenland Under 17 League Cup final.
The goalkeeping skipper saved no fewer than four penalties as Netherton shrugged off closest rivals Clenchwarton in a semi-final penalty shoot-out.
Netherton twice saw advantages wiped out in this game. Jessica Evans' first half opener was cancelled out in the second period to send the clash to extra-time.
Then Kat Rackham restored the Netherton lead only for the Fenland side to hit back again in the fifth minute of extra-time stoppage time.

DEEPING Diamonds Under 11s are feeling just champion after wrapping up the Fenland League crown.
A hard-fought 3-1 success over Stamford sealed the silverware. A couple of Kerry Chawko goals and a Yasmin Green effort did the trick for Deeping.
It means they go one better than last season when they finished as runners-up at Under 10 level. Now Deeping are bidding to do the double by also lifting the League Cup.

DEEPING Diamonds Under 13s are a step closer to the Mid-Lincs League title after breezing past Wyberton in blustery weekend conditions.
Chloe Stewart gave the local lasses the edge in the opening period before doubling their lead after the interval. Katie Kirby also got her name on the scoresheet while Nicola Graham celebrated a fourth successive clean sheet.

POSH Under 11s picked up a point in their penultimate Cambs League outing of the season against Bishop's Stortford.
A wind-assisted Alessia Mundo goal put Posh in the driving seat but the city girls were dealt a blow when losing keeper Katie Plumb to injury.
Captain Kim Lane took over between the sticks and the change didn't upset the Posh rhythm as Megan Parrett's 25-yard screamer doubled their lead.
But Bishop's Stortford hit back to share the spoils in a highly entertaining contest. Now Posh face a n eight week wait before the return game which will bring the curtain down on their campaign.

POSH Under 13s sealed their passage to the knockout stages of the Cambs Girls League Cup by hitting Alconbury for six.
The two sides fought out a tight draw in league action recently, but a hat-trick from Amy Challis inspired a 6-2 Posh success when they renewed rivalries.
Beth Wilson, Lauretta Burdge and Georgia Campbell-Turner hit the other goals as the city side advanced after three straight wins in their group games.
"It was a great all-round team performance with every player doing the job they had been given in training," said Posh manager Nikki Johnson.

The city girls were held 1-1 by stiff St Neots opponents for much of their Cambs League Cup clash at the weekend.
After stacks of chances had gone begging, Georgie Newman, Georgia Howsam and Rachel Anderson hit the goals that secured a 4-1 success.
