Kev Lawrence: goodbye Hereward Radio Yesterday, I said goodbye to an old friend. Hereward Radio, in one shape or another, has been around for about 30 years. Peterborough's first local radio station. The station you can call your own. In stereo. But as of yesterday it was gone, replaced by a big shiny new one called Heart.

Kev Lawrence: Spending Christmas away from home For the first time in my life, I actually spent Christmas in a hotel. Ignoring the credit crunch, and having saved hard for the last six months, I wanted to do something different this year. Let somebody else do all the work, while I get my feet up, and spend some quality time with my kids.

Kev Lawrence: Two more Sleeps till Santa Without doubt, this has been one of the most hectic Christmases I can remember. Last Friday, my radio co-host Abby and I made a cameo appearance in the Snow White panto at the Cresset. It was a gala night, to raise money for our station charity.

Kev Lawrence: JLS should have won The British public got it wrong on Saturday night, when Alexandra Burke was crowned X Factor winner. Granted, she does have an amazing voice, and undoubtedly a bit of a career ahead, but for me she's missing something. An edge. An almost indescribable ingredient that sets someone apart from the rest.
