Wittering clinched runners-up spot and promotion in Division Two in 'ton-up' style.

They won 5-0 at Sawtry with strikes from Danny White, Sam White, Toby Nolan, Sean Bladon and a 33rd of the season for top scorer Sam Jones to smash through the magical 100-goal barrier.

Assistant coach Spike Sergeant, who oversaw the run-in while regular boss Eryl Jones recovered from a serious illness, said: "We have had all sorts of injury and illness problems but we battled on and got there in the end.

"The players have made the whole management team proud of their wonderful efforts."

Wittering are looking for players ahead of next season.

Anyone with league experience should call Eryl on 07717 755979 or Spike on 07872 939668.
