WHITE Zone leaders Eye United have started the season in unstoppable form.

Mark Elsom's side have now won all eight of their games so far as Oundle became the latest victims of a team which will take some stopping in the race for the title.

A 1
7-0 win at Lindisfarne Road represented Eye's biggest win of the season.

Five goals each for Jack Eldridge and Niall Burnage, four for Aaron Branch, two for Jordan Venters and one for James Stuffins did the damage as Eye extended their lead at the top to three points as the half-way point of the season approaches.

Elsom said: "The team played extremely well. It was our eighth win of the season and a big result as it puts us clear of Yaxley.

"I am proud of the boys after the start they've made to the league and reaching the quarter-finals of the League Cup."

AT the other end of the table Coates Crusaders were celebrating after picking up their first win of the season.

Having lost all seven of their previous White Zone games, a 4-0 victory over fellow struggles Wittering finally hauled Liam Luxford's side off the foot of the table.

Three for Jack Lindsey - including a stunning hat-trick goal - and one for Curtis Simmons saw Coates through in a game which Luxford hopes will kick-start their season.

He said: "This was always going to be a big chance for us as Wittering are struggling this season too. We have been working really hard lately and that hard work paid off for us and we played some nice football."

IN the Red Zone goals for Ryan Cotterell (3), Joe Hussey (2), Jack Markley and Jamie Scott kept Deeping Blue second in the table after a 7-0 win at league strugglers SSPIO.
