Chasing a second-half goal scored by Brandon Huskinsson, Setchfield proved to be in the right place at the right time to capitalise on a defensive mix-up by Werrington.
And Setchfield's goal proved to be the last meaningful action of this Division
Two match which ended with both teams sharing the spoils.
Manager Dave Setchfield said: "Full credit to both teams for producing such an entertaining game in very unpleasant conditions. I felt we dominated large periods of the match but ultimately failed to take full advantage.
"We played some excellent passing football and looked very assured on the ball at times."
WISBECH St Mary Purple continued their good start to the season with a 5-1 win against PSV in Division One.
The first half was drawn at one apiece after Harvey Noble had struck for PSV to cancel out Reagan Brown's earlier goal, but then Purple took charge with four second-half hits.
Dylan Sheldrake grabbed two while Brown completed his hat-trick to send Saints six points clear at the top of the table.
ONE of the teams hoping to push Saints at the top of the table are Stamford who recorded a convincing 4-1 win against Rippingale.
Goals for Louis Bell, Henry Franks, William Woodward and Liam Laughton moved Stamford into fourth place.
IN Division Three Northborough picked up their first win of the season with a 4-3 victory against Whittlesey Reds.
Two goals for Liam Manning, one for Jonathan Ostler and an own goal just edged a tight game in which Sam Cooke (2) and Adam Berridge struck for the Reds, who despite their good form are yet to win a game this season.
AND another team who collected three points for the first time this term were Glinton.
Goals for Conor Bryant, Jack Waghorn and an own goal did the damage to Crowland who hit the back of the Glinton net through Bradley Bullimore and Leon De Silva in this Division Three clash.
