The Bretton Festival was bigger and better this year as hundreds of visitors flocked to enjoy its many attractions.
Revellers were spoilt for choice, and the weather did not know what to do either, alternating between flash downpours and blazing sunshine.
The festival, which was held at Bretton Park was started at 1pm on Saturday (July 19), by Mayor of Peterborough Pat Nash.
Young daredevils queued up to have a go on the climbing wall, bucking bronco, bungee run and surf simulator.
The car boot sale had throngs of people browsing the tables in hope of a bargain, and Bretton and District Bowls Club were on hand to give pointers to children eager to have a go at the popular summer sport.

Bretton Parish Council organ- iser Rebecca Lawrence said the event had been hard work, but worth it.
She said: "We were hoping the weather would be good, but it usually rains every year so we were prepared for that. We are expecting more than a thousand people today, and I hope they are not put off by the clouds."
Councillor Wayne Fitzgerald, who had brought along his family for the day, said it was great that Bretton people could put on such a great festival.
Charities such as the Make a Wish Foundation and Sue Ryder Care had stalls to raise money and the neighbourhood police team were on hand to give security advice to residents.
In the main arena there were dance displays and a full Viking enactment by Bretton based Clan Wulfhar, led by Warlord Orm, who wowed the crowds with their energetic fighting.
Live music kept the adults entertains, with crowd favourites Retrolux had returning to put on their annual rocking spectacular.
