PHANTOMS have more than enough firepower to land the big prizes this season according to Canadian star Nathan Rempel.
After claiming the KO Cup under former coach Phil David last term, Rempel is convinced the Bretton side can go one better this time round and end the five-year wait for another English Premier League title.
Not since 2003 has the league trophy resided at the Peterborough Arena but last season's top scorer is convinced that could all be about to change.
"Last season the team didn't start too well and if I am being honest neither did I," he said.
"But this time I feel in great shape having hit a couple of hat-tricks already and I feel far more comfortable as I feel I know the league better and what to expect.
"The team has also looked in great shape in our warm-ups so far and I fully expect us to fly into our first fixtures of the league season.
"That poor start cost us last year and we are all determined to make sure that doesn't happen again.
"We are all aware that because of last season's success we are under a lot of pressure from our fans to deliver more trophies and we want to be able to live up to those expectations.
"And for me those expectations include the EPL title and putting in a decent account of ourselves in the end of season play-offs.
"We have kept most of our players and have as good a side here as any in this league and if we can pick up some momentum early on then there could be no stopping us."
But while the playing staff has remained largely the same, Rempel and his team-mates have had to get used to one big change with Colin Patterson replacing David in the coach's hot-seat.
Rempel added: "Colin is a lot more laid back than Phil but we are all well aware that this guy wants to win things and is prepared to make changes if it needs to be done so we can't take anything for granted.
"I think a good way to describe Colin would be as a quiet disciplinarian, which is no bad thing as everyone needs to know where they stand if a team is to be successful like we are determined to be."
Phantoms continue their pre-season campaign with two matches next week against Swindon Wildcats - Wednesday 7.30pm in Swindon and Thursday 8pm in Peterborough.
